Hi Mom! And one to all of the other moms who devoutly follow this blog of their kids (yes we are kids) traveling across England. We are having such a great time. Sorry if ya’ll don’t hear from us often because we are legitimately BUSY!
It takes a lot to keep a traveling circus on the move.
We are all becoming the best of friends. The kind who know the best AND worst in each other. Time is flying as we journey across England hiking and walking and busing place to place. We just finished a lot of time in small rural towns up north and are now beginning to make our way further down to bigger cities.
“Debriefing”
Everyone’s favorite time of day. This is when we de-brief (or something like that) the “leader of the day” (briefs = underwear in England). That is just one of our many running jokes.
Don’t worry about us moms, we get a lovely bunk bed and blue duvet to sleep with every night! And we are eating well with all of our PB&J’s and digestives (a British cookie AKA “biscuit”) and hot cocoa. We are all finding our own new addictions I am afraid… like Cadbury chocolate or Grasmere gingerbread or herbal tea.
We all love it so much here. All of our complaining about the wet and cold may be paying off. The sun seems to want to shine… behind the clouds.
Nevertheless we trek on, each day a new adventure, each day a new surprise.
